Brian J. Bagley,
J.D., M.B.A.
The founder and chief counsel of the Bagley Law Firm, LLC, Brian provides legal representation to businesses, families, and individuals. In addition to the practice of law, Brian currently serves as the Mayor of Longmont, CO. Brian's other community activities include teaching at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as a professor for the university's prestigious Presidents Leadership Class, teaching upper-level courses on business, management, and leadership. Brian himself is a CU alumnus, having earned a Juris Doctor from CU's School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the Leeds School of Business.
Brian began his professional career as a senior analyst and key member of the team that researched and wrote the New York Times Bestseller, Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap… and Others Don’t. The best-selling hardback business book of all time, Good to Great has grossed more than $100 million in book sales alone. As the only research analyst throughout the five-year project for its entirety, Brian performed the in-depth investigations, interviews, and analysis on market-leading companies to understand how they came to dominate their industries. The research has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Week, Harvard Business Review, and Fast Company.
Brian is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and has been licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado since 1999. His personal accomplishments include earning the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, speaking and writing fluent Spanish, writing and directing a full-length feature film distributed by Universal Vivendi, and volunteering – along with his wife – as a foster-adopt parent for Boulder County's Department of Housing and Human Services. His foremost passion is his wife, Ivone, and their four children: Danielle, Jordan, Augie, and Mikey.
Timothy Edstrom, J.D.
Tim Edstrom is a senior associate at The Bagley Law Firm. While his current focus is in criminal defense and family law, he has extensive experience in a wide variety of legal fields that include workers' compensation, immigration, Social Security, civil litigation for personal injury, business disputes, civil rights violations, sexual harassment, and securities regulation.
When looking into Tim's legal background, one will find that Tim has litigated some of the most high-profile civil rights cases in Colorado history, including the contentious and highly-publicized Michael DeHerrera and Juan Vasquez police brutality lawsuits.
Alone or as lead counsel, he has conducted approximately 60 jury trials for cases that range from criminal defense of murder-in-the-first-degree to civil cases with millions of dollars on the line. However, Tim feels just at home when litigating child custody issues or misdemeanor matters before the local municipal magistrate.
A graduate of the University of Denver College of Law, and having graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in political science, Tim has deep roots in Colorado. For instance, he has lived in Longmont, Colorado for over a quarter-century, where he currently lives with his wife, Christina, and two small children.
Impressively, Tim taught himself Spanish, and now speaks Spanish, fluently. This linguistic skill set has served his clients well, as he proudly represents clients from a broad range of backgrounds and nationalities.


Scott T. Melin,
J.D., M.A.
A senior managing associate at the Bagley Law Firm, LLC, Scott’s practice focuses on high-value civil matters, where his most recent accomplishments include where his recent accomplishments include $1.58 million, $1.2 million, and $612,500 recoveries for his clients. Scott’s cases include personal injury, appeals, civil rights issues, business disputes, and other matters which may require complex litigation. Scott also handles high-conflict family matters, to which he brings years of family law experience.
Born and raised on the Colorado Front Range, Scott attended Colorado State University, where he studied philosophy and English. Thereafter, Scott received a merit scholarship to attend the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado. During his legal studies, he served as a member – and executive – to the law school’s Public Interest Student Association.
Before joining the Bagley Law Firm, LLC, Scott’s passion for social justice took him to New York City where he attended Columbia University, earning a master’s degree in human rights and graduating with a 3.94 GPA. Long before this, however, Scott had been an advocate against domestic violence, having worked with organizations such as the Bringing Justice Home Project, an anti-domestic-violence project within Crossroads Safehouse in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Among his non-legal accomplishments, Scott presently serves on Littleton's city council as its Mayor Pro Tem. He has hiked the Colorado Trail, a stunningly beautiful 500-mile stretch of Colorado wilderness. In his spare time, he also enjoys birding, fly fishing, and gardening. Scott and his wife have a daughter and son.
Sam TOWNSEND J.D.
Sam Townsend is a Senior Attorney at the Bagley Law Firm.
He possesses years of experience in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and grandparent rights as well as estate planning and probate matters.
He has practiced in numerous county and district courts across Colorado from the eastern plains to the western slope, as well as in the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Sam received a B.A. in History at the University of Virginia and thereafter graduated from Vermont Law School where he was a committee chairman in the Environmental Law Society.
Before attending law school, Sam worked numerous seasons in tourism and the outdoor recreation industry.
He is an Eagle Scout and in his spare time, Sam may be found cycling and running throughout the mountains of our gorgeous state.

ANNA VIGDOROVA J.D.
Anna Vigdorova is an Associate Attorney at the Bagley Law Firm.
Anna graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science, in Health Management and Policy in May of 2014.
She then went on to graduate with her Juris Doctor in May of 2018 from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Anna served as Deputy Public Defender in El Paso County and Denver County managing all aspects of felony and misdemeanor cases from 2018 to 2021.
She has tried over thirty jury trials.
In her experience, she has also used her expertise to supervise county summer court interns on day-to-day case management in both El Paso and Denver County.
Anna volunteered for the Colorado Prisoner’s Justice League and the Federal Defenders of San Diego. While in San Diego she drafted motions and mitigation letters for indigent clients charged with federal crimes while also observing hearings in the US District Court of the Southern District of California.
She has assisted in numerous aspects of prisoner’s rights litigation, including research, and writing client interviews.
She has focused on immigration issues, collateral consequences, and assisting all aspects of a trial.
Anna’s extensive background in Criminal Defense Law and case management make her an aggressive lawyer with the knowledge to win.
Anna is a lifelong hockey fan and is fluent in both written and spoken Russian.
